TPO WATERPROOF MEMBRANE
TPO Waterproof Membrane combines ethylene propylene (EP) rubber with polypropylene by using advanced polymerization technology as the base material. It is composed of polyester fiber mesh fabric as the matrix reinforcement material.
TPO Waterproof Membrane combines ethylene propylene rubber and polypropylene using advanced polymerization technology, combining the excellent weather resistance and durability of ethylene propylene rubber and the weldability of polypropylene.
Advantage
●TPO roll material combines ethylene propylene rubber and polypropylene using advanced polymerization technology, combining the excellent weather resistance and durability of ethylene propylene rubber with the weldability of polypropylene.
●Special formula technology, without the need for any plasticizers that can easily make the material brittle, can have high flexibility and toughness, and will not cause the phenomenon of general polyolefin materials becoming brittle due to plasticizer migration, maintaining long-term waterproof function.
●There is a layer of polyester fiber fabric sandwiched in the middle, providing high tensile performance, fatigue resistance, and puncture resistance of the roll material, suitable for mechanically fixing roof systems.
●Excellent resistance to high and low temperatures, maintaining flexibility at -40 ℃ and mechanical strength at higher temperatures.
●Chemical resistance, corrosion resistance to acid, alkali, salt, animal oil, vegetable oil, lubricating oil, and growth of microorganisms such as algae and mold.
●A light color mainly composed of white, with a smooth surface, high reflectivity, energy-saving effect, and pollution resistance.
●The ingredients do not contain chlorinated polymers or oxygen, and there is no oxygen release during welding and use, which is harmless to the environment and human health.
●Lapping adopts hot welding, which can form a high-strength sealing layer.
● Heat resistant aging, good dimensional stability.
Application scope
·This product is suitable for the waterproof layer of exposed or non exposed roofs in buildings, as well as the underground waterproofing of buildings that are prone to deformation, especially suitable for light steel structure roofs and large concrete structure roofs.
·Surface waterproofing is the preferred waterproofing material for roofs of large industrial plants and public buildings.
1.H-homogeneous roll materials are mainly used as waterproofing materials.
2.L-backed membrane is suitable for roof waterproofing systems with fully adhered or empty laid roofs.
3.P-reinforced roll material is suitable for roof waterproofing systems that are mechanically fixed or laid in empty spaces.
Construction points
·Base layer: The base layer for laying TPO rolls should be solid, flat, clean, and dry. Seal the deformation joint according to the design first, and add TPO roll material as an attachment Layer.
·TPO roll pre-laying: Lay the roll according to the predetermined position, which should be flat and straight, without twisting or overlapping adjacent rolls.
·Mechanical fixation of the lower layer roll material in the overlapping area.
·Hot welding in the overlapping area, adjacent coils are looted with a width of generally 150mm (long side). The upper layer of the coil covers the mechanical fasteners of the lower layer of the coil. Before and after welding the overlapping edge, the welding area is cleaned and then evenly welded using a manual welding gun (or automatic welding machine).
·Additional waterproofing for typical details: Typical details such as three-sided internal and external corners, pipe edges, and roots are added with non-reinforced TPO wate-filled base material as an additional waterproof layer, which is fused with the main waterproof layer using hot air welding. The vertical TPO roll material ends are mechanically fixed using metal pressure strips. Before fixing, it is advisable to embed waterproof sealing materials on the base layer, and finally seal with sealing paste.
